Fruit Bandits is a casual game. We collect as little as we can, we never sell personal information, and you never need an account. This page explains exactly what happens to your data.
What we collect
- Game progress. Your level, tools and settings. They are stored on your device and, so you can recover them, backed up to our server against a random anonymous device ID. There is no name, email address or phone number attached.
- Gameplay analytics. Anonymous events such as “started level 12”, “won with 3 moves left” or “retried”. We use these to find levels that are too hard or too easy. They are tied to the anonymous device ID, not to you.
- Purchases (iPhone app). If you buy “Remove Ads”, Apple processes the payment and we receive confirmation of the purchase through our purchase provider (RevenueCat). We never see your payment details.
- Advertising. The free game shows a small ad banner and optional rewarded ads. In the iPhone app these are provided by Google AdMob, which may use your device’s advertising identifier to show and measure ads. On iPhone you are asked for permission first, and you can change it any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. In the EU and UK you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. On the web version, if ads are enabled, Google may set cookies for the same purpose.
- Technical data. Our server logs your IP address and browser type for a short time to keep the service secure and running.
What we don’t do
- We don’t ask for your name, email, location, contacts or photos.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13. The game is not directed at children.
How long we keep it
Game progress is kept while your device is active and for up to two years after you last play. Analytics events are kept for up to 24 months. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Your choices and rights
You can delete your data at any time: write to support@fruitbandits.com from the address you like (or include the backup code from Settings) and we will delete the progress and analytics linked to that device. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you also have the right to access, correct, port or delete your information, and to object to certain processing. We will respond within 30 days.
Where data is processed
Our servers are located in the United States. Our service providers (Google AdMob, Apple, RevenueCat) process data under their own privacy policies.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, where required, tell you in the game.
